Privacy notice

Who I am

This website is run by Mo, the creator behind Born2Samosa (@born2samosa), based in Dallas, Texas. When this notice says “I” or “me”, that’s me. You can reach me about anything in it through the contact form or by messaging @born2samosa on Instagram.

What I collect

This site only collects what you choose to submit through its two forms:

• Business feature requests: business name, business category, address, city and state, website, Instagram handle, contact name, role, business email, optional phone number, collaboration details and your confirmation that you’re authorized to submit.
• Partnership and business inquiries: your name, email, company, website, inquiry type, timeline and message.

I don’t ask for payment details, passwords or government ID numbers, and the forms don’t accept file uploads.

Just browsing the site doesn’t send me anything: there are no analytics, ads or tracking pixels. Like every web host, Netlify automatically receives technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

How I use it

• To review your request and decide whether a feature or collaboration is a fit.
• To reply to you about your request.

I don’t sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Who processes it

• Hosting and forms: Netlify, a US-based service, hosts the site and handles the forms. It receives your submission, screens it for spam, stores it and emails it to my business inbox (Netlify’s privacy policy).
• Embedded posts and videos, only if you choose them: some pages can show posts and videos through Instagram’s, TikTok’s and YouTube’s official players. Nothing loads from them until you press “Show Instagram posts” or “Play here”. Once it does, Meta, TikTok or Google can see your visit and may set cookies under their own policies (Instagram, TikTok, Google). YouTube videos use its privacy-enhanced “nocookie” player.
• Code libraries: the animation and 3D libraries (GSAP, Lenis and three.js) load from the jsDelivr content network, which, like any web server, receives your IP address and browser details when delivering them (jsDelivr’s privacy policy).
• Fonts: the typefaces are stored on this website itself, so loading them doesn’t contact any other service.

How long I keep it

I keep inquiries only as long as I need them to respond and manage any resulting collaboration.

Your rights

You can ask me what I have from you, or ask me to correct or delete your submission, at any time by messaging me at @born2samosa on Instagram or using the contact form.

Privacy choices

Posts and videos from Instagram, TikTok and YouTube stay switched off until you choose to load one, either from the short notice you see on your first visit or when you open a post. Your choice, and the fact that you’ve seen that notice, are saved in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie) so you aren’t asked every time, and they never leave your device.

Turning them off stops them from loading here. Cookies those services set while they were on are managed in your browser settings or with Meta, TikTok or Google directly.

Cookies, analytics and Do Not Track

This site doesn’t set cookies of its own, doesn’t run analytics or ads, and doesn’t track you across other websites. Because there’s no tracking, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals don’t change anything here; embedded content stays off unless you turn it on.

Who the forms are for

The forms are for restaurants, businesses, brands and event organizers who want to work with me, so please only send one if you’re 13 or older. If someone younger sends me their details by mistake, I’ll delete them.

Security

Pages and forms are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No way of sending or storing information online is perfectly secure, so I only ask for what I need to reply to you.

Links to other sites

Links to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, restaurants and other websites take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Changes to this notice

If I change how I handle information, I’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top.
